4. Are there any Possible Negative effects?
Many
studies have been conducted to investigate the safety of ginseng and
have come to the conclusion that ginseng is absolutely safe. Neither
acute nor chronic toxicity nor any side effects were observed from
ginseng intake. The safety of ginseng is further evidenced by its long
history of clinical use. For over 2000 years, Korean ginseng has been
widely used as a medicinal herb in Asian countries.

safe and no toxic side effects were observed in acute, subacute and

A few words of caution however:
- Due to its energizing effects, drinking more than three cups of Korean Ginseng at bedtime may make it difficult to fall asleep. Korean Ginseng is also not recommended for people with extremelyhigh blood pressure or hypertension.
- Ginseng is not recommended in regular doses for pregnant womenexcept in the first and last month of pregnancy, as babies have been reported to grow faster and become large and heavy. This will not harm the baby in any way, but may make childbirth more uncomfortable for the mother.
